About On GLP-1
About On GLP-1
A site for people living with GLP-1 side effects, written by someone who used to make the products.
Hi, I’m Cari.
I spent years in consumer health and women’s health product development. I’ve sat in the meetings where formulas get costed and label claims get worded, so I know what a bottle can say without technically saying it.
None of that is written down anywhere, which is why a quick search or an AI answer won’t tell you. I do use AI to read more studies and compare more labels than I could alone. The judgment about what’s worth your money is mine.
On GLP-1 isn’t medical advice and doesn’t replace your prescriber.
Why On GLP-1 exists
People on GLP-1 medications run into the same questions: what helps with the nausea, which fiber, whether the collagen ads are real. Most of the answers online sit on pages written to sell. On GLP-1 puts the honest version in one place, with the label facts and the sources.
Fair question. Here’s what AI can’t do for you.
AI is great at summarizing what’s already online. The catch: most of what’s online about supplements is written by the people selling them. AI can’t tell you what the label leaves out, because it has never been on the other side of the label.
| Asking an AI chatbot | Reading On GLP-1 | |
|---|---|---|
| Where answers come from | Whatever is online. For supplements, much of that is written by brands and sellers. | The label itself, FDA prescribing information, NIH and MedlinePlus, plus years inside the industry. |
| Industry know-how | Can’t see it. The unwritten habits of how supplements get made aren’t published anywhere. | Cari knows them from product development, and checks every product against them. |
| Is it current? | Can repeat old formulas, old prices or products that changed. | Label facts are checked against the actual product, with the date shown. |
| Who stands behind it | The answer can change each time you ask, and no one is accountable for it. | A real person, every source linked, and an email address if we got something wrong. |
| Built for GLP-1 | General answers, unless you know exactly what to ask. | Every guide starts from GLP-1 life: small appetite, slower stomach, dose increases. |
What an industry insider looks for on a label
“Clinically studied” on the front
Often means one ingredient was studied, at a dose the product may not contain. The product itself usually wasn’t.
Proprietary blends
Brands only have to list the blend’s total weight, so a headline ingredient can be a tiny sprinkle.
Same ingredient name, different product
Form, source and amount vary widely between two labels that read almost the same.
Big claims, small print
What a label says on the front and what the facts panel shows on the back are often two different stories.
We use AI too. It helps Cari read more studies and compare more labels, faster. Then a person who has built these products decides what’s worth your money.
If you use AI: ask it for its source, then check the label yourself. That’s exactly what we do on every page.
Built for the consumer journey
On GLP-1 is designed for people who are trying to make daily life on GLP-1 feel more manageable. They are not looking for a medical textbook or a generic shopping list. They want practical help with nausea, constipation, fatigue, low appetite, protein, muscle support, hair changes, skin changes, and first-week preparation.
Practical products, cautious language
Product recommendations are framed around practical fit: serving size, ease of use, taste tolerance, ingredient clarity, low-sugar formats, portability, and everyday support. On GLP-1 does not position products as medical solutions or substitutes for professional guidance.
Evidence-informed trust
Every page links its sources, from FDA prescribing information to NIH and MedlinePlus. We do not claim registered dietitian review or medical verification, because that review process is not in place.
Editorial principles
Useful before shopping
A page should help the reader make sense of the concern before it recommends a product.
No medical overreach
We avoid claims that products diagnose conditions, resolve symptoms, prevent side effects, or change medication outcomes.
Label facts, dated
Product facts are checked against the label and the date is shown. If we can’t verify a product, we don’t list it.
How On GLP-1 makes money
On GLP-1 may earn money through affiliate links and partnerships. Those relationships are disclosed and do not decide which products are listed.
No star scores. Just the facts you’d check yourself.
We don’t invent ratings. Every product we list shows the same four things, with sources, so you can decide.
Our editorial standardsLabel facts
Serving size, key amounts, sugar and sweeteners, checked against the label and dated.
Who it may fit
The specific GLP-1 situation where the product could make one step easier.
What to consider first
Cautions, who should ask a clinician, and what a product can’t do.
Sources and where to buy
Links to the brand page, label source and retailer, so you can verify.
